OGDEN NEEDS REAL LEADERSHIP
ECONOMIC PROSPERITY
Ogden is an incredible place to live, but in recent years our city has failed to grow at the pace of Salt Lake and Utah counties. Ogden is lagging behind the rest of Utah in economic growth, the size of our paychecks are smaller on average than the rest of the state, and our opportunities for employment are fewer than our neighbors to the south. It is time for the kind of leadership that will make Ogden prosper.
LOWER TAXES
I have a simple belief about taxes, and that is we should be getting what we pay for. While our city taxes have steadily been going up, public services have failed to improve, expand and plan for the future. We need to look hard for wasteful spending while making sure our taxes aren't disincentivizing growth and progress. Ogden needs an experienced and successful leader to solve the issues we are facing.
SAFETY FOR ALL
With a crime rate of 49 per one thousand residents, Ogden has an incredibly high crime rate, especially comparing it with other Utah cities. This is unacceptable. We need a serious, comprehensive strategy to address this challenge. It is time we address this problem head-on because every Ogden resident deserves to feel safe when walking in our beautiful streets.
